I echo the same two questions. I am assembling a gun for bench shooting and Colorado prairie dogs and would like to be able to shoot out to 500 yards. I have been told there is a range somewhere in the Ft Wayne area and, of course, there is Atterbury if I’m not mistaken. Both are quite a driving distance from the Inday area.

Any place to shoot 500+ yards in central Indiana ?

I really like Atterbury. A lot of people complain and do not like the really strick, structured environment but I do. Once you get the rules (they really are simple) you see that it's a very safety concious. I'm guessing that is a major contributing factor of there never being accidental shooting or accidental discharge during target changes/marking etc. They also have one of the best selections of primers, powders and such.
The only things I would like to see changed would be,
1) more reloading components like dies, presses etc, selection is very limited.
2) 200-1000yard lanes. Not many choices in indiana for shooting 1K.

I have a monthly pass there (military/police veterans pay half price), awesome 25 yard range(handgun or pistol) with full time safety officers and helpful staff for the gun shop. I highly recommend to try them out if you're in the area.

I live in the Lawrence area, there's the Indy Gun Bunker at 30 Post Rd, 46219.

It's a nice little place with guns and ammo and all kinds of gear and a nice shooting. It's perfect for me.
