    45/70 Eh? Kills on one end and maims on the other, or so I'm told:):

    ARs, and AKs get their own "show and tell" thread, as do precision rifles...

    I think lever guns deserve their own show, and tell thread...

    I'll start with my newest, a Marin 1895 GBL. Took me forever to find one at a good price, finally did, right here in the INGO classifieds... At least I'm finally in the 45-70 club.

    My compact Trapper in .357. Sweet, little rifle. Overall length is just over 32". I acquired it back in '95 or '96. Back in 2006, Winchester introduced the Trapper Compact, the year before they stopped lever rifle production. About the only difference between it, and mine is the safety location.

    Model 94 Trapper Compact

    I saw one of those sell for over $1200 on GB a few years ago. :faint: I saw one similar to mine that had scratches and blemishes that sold for $950 a few months ago. As much as I love this rifle(though I rarely shoot it anymore), I have to admit I've had thoughts about selling it considering what they're going for. But then I realize that I'd be breaking up the happy couple;

    I don't have pictures of my lever guns but I do have a few. My Marlins are all older, 1968 336 in 35 Rem., mid 60's 57M, early 2000's 1894 in 44 mag., and 2001 1895 Guide Gun in 45/70. Winchesters are, 1951 94 in 30-30, 1946 or '47 94 in 32 WCF, and a 94 Theodore Roosevelt commemorative in 30-30. I don't have a Henry but am wanting an Evil Roy in 22LR.

    Here's a picture of a lever gun in the wild.

    I bought this for the first year Indiana allowed pistol caliber rifles for hunting. I was tired of paying nearly $3 each for a sabot slug and I couldn't be happier with what I bought. This rifle has two 8pt bucks to its credit and is on the never to be sold list.

    Ding, Ding, Ding, Give that man a rubber cigar

    You are so correct sir, it's a 1916 1895 Winchester Russian Contract Musket chambered in 7.62x54r. Winchester produced 300,000 for use by the Russian Army in WW1

    Oh man, an 1895 Winchester Russian is one of my dream guns. How does it shoot?

    Here is my new (to me) Uberti Winchester 73 in .45 Colt. I picked it up on Gunbroker for a pretty decent price. I can't wait to get it out to the range.

    The often overlooked Winchester 1876, the last design before John Browning's ground breaking 1886, was a large version of the 1873. Shown here in 50-95 Express with a Marlin 336 for scale.
