If they can tell you “no”, or they have the ability (not necessarily the *lawful* ability) to track to whom permission has been granted, it is not a “right” but a privilege.
If one chooses to get blackout drunk, it would seem that is more of a right than one that is specified in the Constitution. I am not advocating excessive (or any) drinking of alcohol, nor speaking against doing so, only saying that alcohol has killed far more innocents than have firearms in the hands of peaceable people.
