I have a stock that had 2” cut off of it, for my son to use the gun. I’m having a hard time finding a replacement stock for this gun. So I am wanting to reattach the piece I cut off, years ago. It is laminate if that matters, Has anyone ever successfully reattached one that was cut?

I was thinking of pinning with maybe an old carbon arrow (cutting 2” piece) in a couple spots with a good wood epoxy, thoughts?

    .
    Use dowels, sawdust and epoxy.

GOOD epoxy. Waterproof. High tensile and shear strength, etc.:

Rockler and Woodcraft have it on the shelf as well. Castleton.

Guarantee you don’t leave with only the glue. ;)

Brownells Accra Glass is the best epoxy I’ve used for wood repair. Regardless of what you do, you’ll probably have a small line showing at the repair/extension. Laminate stocks are more utilitarian than a fancy piece of walnut, so it shouldn’t be a horrible deal. Drill and dowel it like has already been said. A good thing about this is all the force is pushing flat on your repair and you have two big, flat surfaces so it should stay solid for you.
