The Kalashnikov design has no competition at that price point for an auto in my opinion. They are snappy beasts to say the least. Being able to order one in so many different flavors makes them that much cooler.

My Snap-On tool guy had this knife on his truck. Really liked the look and feel of it. Knowing I'd pay more for it thru my tool dealer I did a little shopping around and saved myself over 50%. Arrived in the mail today

I was thrilled to find that a left-hand sheath for another one of my knives, also fits my Jeff White knife ..... like the proverbial glove !

Where did you get that sheath? I like it a lot.

I wish that I could give you a referral, but I can't. I'm friends with a Major in the 82nd Airborne, and his brother was in the business (actually, it was more of a hobby) of knife making for many years. He recently ended all of his knife / sheath making to concentrate on his first love ..... self bows.

Thanks everyone. I have been doing this for about 3 1/2 years. Started with railroad spikes making Tomahawks for Mission 22 in a little can forge, then started building my own forges and equipment. It is a hobby that has grown exponentially for me. Maybe I will get something else done this week, but there has not been a lot of time to work out in the shop.

With all of the craziness in the streets, I've gone back to carrying my Karambit, by Fox knives. It has the 'wave' opening feature, so it opens as it comes out of my pocket ..... even faster than an auto-knife !
This isn't the knife you choose to open boxes (a small keychain multi-tool does that job). This knife has a very specific purpose. As an old Special Forces friend says: "if you have to ask what a karambit is for ..... you don't need one". :)

Well, since I have moved, I finally got my forge area set up in my WIP shop.

I was able to get a few Christmas gifts done. Everyone in the family just loves my Chef pattern blades for in the kitchen, which makes it easy for me each year.

A Serbian Chef pattern for my GF. Low layer 1095/15n20.

I did a few more of the Chefs knives, just didn't get any real good pics of them. It is nice to be working with hot steel again.
