Indiana State Senator Sandlin got his two minutes of air time on Fox 59 a few nights ago demanding action to stop the violence.

I took a little time after work yesterday to provide him some suggestions.

I'm willing to bet he doesn't take any actual interest in them, the suggestions might actually have an effect. As opposed to another "peace walk"...

Well with the new no smoking police in city parks the crime rate should drop when all those smoking, gun toting thugs start hanging out in parks in the surrounding counties

Don’t worry, Hoggy will reimpose the mask mandate and the police can start enforcing that, too.

Where I retired from, there was a saying that managers usually rose to the highest level of their incompetency. Sounds like the same for government...
    The Peter Principle.
When you do a good job, you get promoted. This continues until you're not doing a good job. You stop getting promoted, but you don't get demoted to a job you can do well.
Thus everyone rises to their level of incompetency.
