Church and organization memberships seems like an intrusion, along with some other questions, like important things taught to children, etc.It looks like the same questions they always use.
Unless the case had something to do with a specific church/religion.Church and organization memberships seems like an intrusion, along with some other questions, like important things taught to children, etc.
It would seem like ruling one out of jury duty based on religion would be questionable.
Westboro Baptist Church seems like a good answer for #20.It would seem like ruling one out of jury duty based on religion would be questionable.
Thanks for doing your part.I served on a murder trial about 10 years ago. I thought the whole thing was pretty interesting.
Without going into detail, I felt it made a difference in some of the outcome, because I was serving.
The trial was emotionally taxing and lasted a week. After it was over I visited my mother to tell her about my experience.
While speaking with her, the emotions flooded out as I cried (I was 50 at the time).
All in all, I would serve again if called upon. I actually believe everyone deserves a fair shake in life.
I'd sit a jury just for the experience. But I don't hear well either.Got one a year or so ago and it asled if you were IIRC over 70 years old. If yes you had the option of opting out. Yes, I opted out, called several times and sat on one trial back in Illinois. That was enough for me, besides I don't hear that well any more so that is a factor I suppose. Jim.
After a lifetime of military jets, gunfire, the devil's music and motorcycling I can't hear very well either.Got one a year or so ago and it asled if you were IIRC over 70 years old.
