John Linebaugh passed away this week. Maker of the 500 Linebaugh cartridge. Big bore gun maker before all the others. 1955-2023

Truly in innovator in the field - stretching the limits of any caliber he put his hands on.

That is a big loss for sure.

Mr Linebaugh built a Ruger Blackhawk with a 5 shot cylinder chambered for a very spunky 38-40…… I’m proud to say I have his recipe for his go to loading for that revolver

I’ve got his 45Colt loads posted on my reloading room wall for quick reference. Not for old revolvers but fine for modern day firearms. Sad to see him go.
