I had a pop-up ad from Gunbroker show up on my computer a little bit ago. Just for the fun of it I went to their site and checked out some of the listings for 9mm ammo. Attached is a snapshot of one offering. I’m not saying this is was the only price point, but the price per round was more common than not. Granted there didn’t seem to be a bid yet - but apparently the seller optimistic he may get a few customers. 338F8A3B-FC80-44AF-BF4A-9FCFA6147E5D.jpeg

I picked up 556 for a buck a round. Not sure if this has been a normal price for it as i havent purchased in quite a while. It was made in Korea too which struck me as odd. Can they own firearms in Korea?

You should see what primers are going for. Seen a case of 5000 small rifle primers and the bidding was up to $1275 with 1-2 days left in the auction.
A year ago I'd of paid roughly $160 for that same case

At the risk of subjecting myself to home invasion I discovered I have several thousand small pistol primers and an exponentially greater number of shotgun shell primers In inventory. If I can get over a thousand dollars for 5k of pistol primers it may be time to sell and then wait for a return to normalcy as far as availability and pricing.

look at what rifle rounds are going for. 6.5 grendel custom stuff is going for $3 a round. Guys are calling in "Hard to find" and "Rare."
7.62 x 39 is not that far off. Cheap steel stuff is at least $1 per round.
Glad I stocked up before the riots started last year.

He'll get it or something close to it.

One could make a mint selling it if one doesn't think he will need it to defend against thugs and communists.

Local gun-shop down here in Evansville, Red Ghost, posted this on their Facebook page this afternoon:

    Question...
Who’s willing to spend $1.00 / round for 9mm? We can get it, but it’s going to be right at, or right above $50 / box for 9mm FMJ.
    Thoughts?

Responses were 50/50 Yes and No.

    My thought was...Ugh.

(I've got a few thousand rounds of 9mm and I'm not shooting it.)

Great chance to dry fire and shoot your .22's sitting in the back of the closet. I wish I had a better answer for you, but at this point I don't. I will now be alternating range trips between the M&P22 and my regular AR. The days of blasting through rounds are over.

Practice for me is going to be very thought out, and intentional. I will be writing down some type of plan for the range trips to maximize my training with less ammo.

This is starting to remind me of one of those video games my son plays.

You know, that apocalyptic game where a round of ammo is like a months worth of food and you have to scrounge through rubble and corpses to find enough to stay alive. Fallout I think it is.

We're at the point where a mediocre day at the range with a friend costs you more than an awesome night in a hotel with an escort.

    Bizzaro world, indeed.

    Wait $1 a round for 762x39?!
Hell I might sell a few boxes at that.

I don’t think my wife would appreciate me sitting in the back of the closet and shooting .22’s ! She’s funny that way.
