Thanks for the advice everyone. Unfortunately, locally, pickings are slim, in town there are 2 pawns shops, 3 big box stores and only one gun shop but it is a smaller shop without much inventory(the only large gun shop in town closed down when the owner passed away). Looking to go to a bigger store, say Top Guns in Terra Haute, but wanting to avoid making the trip, only to be denied/delayed, why I was asking how to see if everything is clear before hand

They should enforce it if a felon does lie on the form. As you said it's a felony to lie on it. It should be enforced as part of the real reason we have the checks in the first place. If they are not going to enforce it. Get rid of NICS.
Are we talking about Hunter Biden?
People lie all the time on form 4473, think how many lie on question 21E that asks if you use Pot, and states that its illegal even if legalized in your state for use.

guilty until proven innocent?........That is not what they taught in the mandatory Civics class.
lol I have some bad news about the Easter bunny, Santa Clause, Columbus discovering the Americas first, and a lot of other stuff we're taught as kids and in school.

Is it a felony to lie on a 4473? If so prosecution is required. Proving a person uses weed is much different than a felon lying saying he isn't and trying to buy a firearm. That is easy to prove. A. He is a known felon. B. He lied on on 4473 saying he wasn't. In his hand writing and his signature with date. Should be the easiest prosecution ever in history. All they have to do is enforce the law.
