Trump didn't exactly make it a difficult job. I know we say "no more mean tweets" as a joke but the fact is its how most people shaped their perception of the president. And Republicans would have held the Senate if it weren't for his "find me the votes" phone call days before the special election
You know the "find me votes" call was a fixed hoax and retracted by the WP? And no, the republicans were not winning the senate races in GA because the same fix that they used to beat Trump was put in to win the senate.

It could also be said that the Republicans could have held the Senate if Biden would'nt have promised to deliver more stimulus bucks if they got out the vote for the Democrats right before the special Ga. Senate election.

Watching the amount of liberals unhappy with the new admin on tik tok is eye opening. If the R’s would just promise to legalize weed it would be a tidal wave like never before.
I'd rather they start getting serious about immigration reform.

For the most part immigrants are highly aligned with Republican values (or just plain American values).

The Venezuelans definitely are against socialism of any kind. We need to get them and the Cuban aliens the right to vote by 2022...

I know several legal immigrants from India they absolutely hate the Democrat party because of what they stand for. They tell me they left India for the exact reasons the Democrats want to make America.

What I want is a party focused on the Constitution and the principles this nation was founded upon. Those that were documented in the declaration of Independence, the Constitution of the United States and the related contemporaneous works.

I recently wrote to the Indiana Republican Party twice stating just the above. I no longer care whether someone has an R after their name or not. I am voting and promoting those who either have a track record of honoring their oath to the Constitution or at least portray and substantiate in their writings and commit to governing in a constitutionalist manner.

I've also taken to tracking bills and votes and challenging my congress critters on why they felt it was appropriate and constitutional to vote for specific bills.

I do not delude myself that my correspondence alone will have an effect. However; if enough Hoosiers tell the state Republican party that they will no longer accept the weak sisters who do not stand by their oath and they will vote for others instead it may have an effect. If enough citizens are clear that those representatives and senators at the state level who are duplicitous in publicly proclaiming support for bills such as HB 1369, SB49, and SB199 but then take actions to subvert that public support in private are no longer acceptable the local Republican Party may listen.

If the state level party is made aware that their federal level elected representatives are at risk due to their voting record and that citizens are stating a willingness and in fact desire to have them primaried, it might have an effect.

For my part I am trying to maintain a consistent message of constitutionally focused governance. Limited government focused on the federal government's primary responsibility, to first protect the rights guaranteed by the Constitution to all United States citizens regardless of which state they live in. In almost every piece of correspondence to my federal level representatives I am reinforcing that any legislation they introduce or Bill they vote on needs to be tested against the principles of the Constitution and most especially the concept of limited government and protection of the people's rights, and the states.

Going along to get along has gotten us to where we're at. If the communists (AKA Democrats) have gone full totalitarian Marxist, then it is time for those who still believe in the America defined in our founding documents to go full constitution. To me that means radically rolling back the federal government to what it was originally intended to be. What it was before even Jefferson. Let them have no more authority than to fund and authorize the military and manage disputes between the states. The federal government's only other useful function should be to ensure that every right guaranteed in the Constitution is equally available to every citizen. Other than that it is the 9th and 10th amendments to the max.

    Yea I'm with you.

If some loud mouthed republicans said **** like
In my first year I will fight to make weed legal for all on a state level the take the fight to they fed level
There would be one hell of a wave supporting them.
I think liberty involves more than the freedom to get high

Edit: And I don't think any sort of ethics is stopping puddin' head from giving it to you. I expect it is more like abolishing abortion for republican politicians, something used for continuous fund raising and get-out-the-vote

Re-elect me and next time I will [insert promise popular with constituents]. Lather, rinse, repeat

I agree but that’s never gonna happen.first those in power would have to be honest about why we need immigration.

Long story short household income has remained stagnant for years, inflations went up and the 20-35 year old crowd is saddled with tons of student loan debt bc everyone said “if you want a good job you gotta go to college”.

anyway so now those people aren’t having kids birth rate of like 1600 per 1000, that’s not even replacement, and according to the new census data 39% of the country’s adult population is not either retired or disabled. That’s driving up labor costs and the only way to bring labor costs down is to bring in people who will stfu and work for pennies a day.

The low birth rate will also cause the pyramid schemes we call social security and Medicare to collapse under the weight of the sheet number of retirees. That is unless we bring in more people, specifically more people from low income countries who have religious reasons to not use BC. Catholic Latinos and middle eastern Muslims fit the bill, like it or not.

turns out putting abortion clinics up in Low income neighborhoods to systematically genocide the poor minorities wasn’t a great idea in the grand scheme of things.

anyway back to the regularly scheduled programming of Democrats bad, republicans good.

My prediction, and been watching this since the 70's. Red wave takes it, people cheer and rejoice. Then the Red raise taxes, spend $$$ like no tomorrow. Then Blue wave wins and they do the same thing. This happens from the local level on up. In the end it just keeps getting worse and worse. The question is what team will be in charge when it hits the fan. It won't matter. Maybe a new America if it rises again can get rid of both teams.

Democrats found out how easily they could turn votes when people were scared for their health and how easy it was to do. I fully expect bizarre antics from them that will scare millions of people to vote for them. The usual media outlets will support whatever the Dems put out

Preferably a large enough group that there is an effective effort to prune back the central State.

This reminds me of an experience I had when I was growing up.

There was a dog hanging around my grandfather's farm. It was fine for a while. Then it bit my leg one day.

Next week I was at his farm...he said no need to worry about the dog. Grandfather said he had cut its tail off.

"How does cutting a dog's tail keep it from biting?" I asked.

He said, "You gotta cut its tail off right behind the ears".

I certainly miss him and men like him.
