Love me some triple deuce! It holds my personal record for longest varmint shot at 284 yards. Not that other rounds won't do the same thing, but it's easy to be accurate with.

Great article. I have a 722 in 222, as well as 6x47, 7x47, and recently rebarreled a 223 into a 6mm Whisper. All offspring of the original 222.

I have a Savage 222 made in the 70's that was given to me by an uncle before his passing. Haven't shot it in years but very good varmint gun on grandparent's farm back in the day.
