Daughter is bringing her precision 10/22 & her M&P 22c.

My girlfriend has a 10 year-old who is in Fourth Grade. I don’t know how much interest she has in coming, let along waking up before noon, but would she be in good company?

I’m going to pack up now, get in the shower, then head on down.

I’ll bring plates, dessert, and maybe something else I see on a whim. See you all soon!

My daughter is 10 also. Been shooting since she was 4.

Completely spaced this shoot. Been working inside my shop painting and getting ready to install a ceiling/insulation. stopped and bought a bunch of supplies yesterday to work out there today not Even thinking about the shoot. Hope all had fun.

As long as the kid is well behaved, and listens, I have no problem.
Most of us don't have a problem.
And most anyone that has had a problem in the past, was from kids that didn't listen so well.

Many of us have taught at the Winimac Family Shoot.
And I have taught probably hundreds of Boy Scouts.
So it would be a good place to learn, IF she is interested.

You might want to explain to your GF about the "Hot Brass Dance", and how it can happen with certain shirts.









And yes, it happens to dudes also




Brass can get pretty hot, and sometimes blows backwards, instead of to the side.

I left the range at closing time, and it was starting to rain pretty good.

It started to drizzle as I was driving home and was pouring on and off.

It was good to get out yesterday. Wish we could have stayed longer. Got to meet some more members. Range sure was more crowded than in the fall. Dang fair weather shooters.

I hope everyone made it home safely and that the rest of your weekend went well. It was really awesome coming out yesterday and meeting some of you in the flesh! I had fun, got to mingle, and send a couple down range. I’m absolutely looking forward to the next meetup!

Major thanks to @2A_Tom for tending to the vittles and the pleasantries, @d.kaufman for reaffirming that shotguns go “boom!” (also, your daughter’s a crack shot!), and @actaeon277 for making me want a lever-action rifle to add to the collection some day. Haha!

Funny you should mention this. When we got into the car to head home she said to me “I only had one casing go down my shirt!” At the range ejected casings are really attracted to her shirt, doesn’t seem to matter what she wears, they seem to find a way.
