    Outstanding!!!
I JUST bought my first reloader off ebay. Dillon 550.
I have been trying to read up on the do's and don'ts. This thread is an awesome start!! I was lookin for commonalities in which components to buy for starters. And the amounts really, really helps. I hope to see more.
Thank you for starting the thread and for those who have offered up the great info.

Currently in possession of 9mm 115 gr. RN and 40SW 155 gr. RN from Standard Bullet Co..

Didn't have data in my Speers for 9mm that worked. I started my load at 1.135. Bullet was too long for Walther P99. Contact between bullet and barrel rifling. At 1.110 it appeared to seat the slide in the correct position but and empty case sticks out 0.125 the COAL 1.110 sticks otu at 0.147. There was a fellow INGO member that was using 4.2 gr power piston with COAL 1.090. I just need some data. Speers is showing 1.125 COAL with Power Pistol at 6.2gr and Bullseye at 4.2 gr min, max 6.7 and 4.7. I know running shorter COAL increases pressure so I don't want blinding run at 1.090 and 4.2 gr bullseye.

Any information on 40SW would be great also. I haven't received the dies yet, should be next week. When I get them I'll want to start making bullets.

    Thanks

I am very fond of the following 9mm recipe, iv fired off over 2,000 of these with NO problems.

    4.2gr Unique powder

    124gr FMJ Round nose

    Mixed headstamps

    CCI Small pistol primers

    OAL of 1.15

I shoot these out of my Gen 2 Glock 19

I have used this recipe as well with great success

NOTE: DO NOT EVER USE LEAD BULLETS IN ANY GLOCK!!!!!! ONLY USE FMJ.!

These are my first test rounds with this recipe and it has been consistent.. This group was shot from 40ft.

I have used this recipe as well with great success and accuracy.

I am looking for data on reloading the 5.7x28 round that would work well in an FN 5-7 or PS90. As any of you here that may shoot this caliber know, this ammo is almost non existent. Everyone is showing it on backorder.

I have also loaded some special suppressor .45 acp rpounds that are working extremely well in an Suppressed HK and have held accuracy. Our favorite is down to 610FPS. I will post the spec when I get a little more time.

Since COL is determined by the gun, it serves little purpose to list. A handloader should know how to work up COL for any load. Only reference should be to a minimum COL, and that is a SAAMI issue. One can reference the COL they use, but it should be noted that the COL may not and probably does not apply to all guns.*
Seating depth is not a load issue, as this is determined by the COL the individual uses and is not a data item I have ever seen even considered.
    9x19 load:
121-124gn JHP (0.355 to 0.357" bullet OD, depending on barrel groove diameter)
    6.0gn Power Pistol
    1.100" minimum COL
    Any case.
Any small pistol primer (not magnum)
Load as long as possible for firearm. Very accurate. Be sure bullets are secure in case to eliminate any bullet set-back. Should be worked up to, as ALL loads should be.

Just finished cranking out 500 cartridges with a load very similar to one ExtremeVel listed above:

    45ACP
Wilson Combat 1911 5" Government Model (also does well in a 4" Compact)
    200gr LSWC (Vance)
    3.9grains of Clays
    Winchester LPP
    1.258" OAL

Pretty soft shooting, feeds beautifully in my guns, no leading to speak of. This is kind of my "go to" range load.

The shape of the rifling (poly something) in a Glock is designed for jacketed bullets, lead bullets will leave severe lead fouling and catastrophic failure. There are after market barrels with conventional rifling if someone is determined to shoot lead bullets.

This, of course, ignores all the folks successfully shooting lead in their Glocks. Fit is everything.
    Polygonal, I believe.
