Well, naturally you need to yell at the turkeys who are cutting into your fun time ... wait, playing with the turkeys IS your fun time ... never mind.

Totally agree with you that several people have gone above and beyond to make the INGO lower project (and the Big Tanker donations) a reality.

Fair or not, my beef with ZRTS is my beef. I felt safe venting to INGO because ... well, just because. It is another lesson relearned though ... don't gripe on INGO unless you are prepared for the ridicule that is surely to follow.

No worries, RR. I still love you (in an INGO sort of way), and will always be glad to spend time with you.

All vents allowed, and subsequent razzing. If I didn't respect your opinion, I (probably) wouldn't chime in. It gives us INGO balance within our insides. The tables have been on the other foot for me before. I hear others beef, sometimes even smell it. Just don't have to make it mine. Doesn't mean I won't remember this going into my next potential interaction with them. Points made and considered.

And it's always a pleasure to see you. INGO/RR/or otherwise

Went to pick my lower up yesterday from ZRTS only to find them closed.

Before I left home, I checked their hours using Go Ogle and was informed that they're open M-W, F 10A-6P and Sat 10A-3P, Closed Tr & Sun. Get to their door and there's a sign that reads Open M-F 10A-6P, Closed Sat & Sun.

Checked Go Ogle when I got home to verify I didn't misread anything ... nope, same intel. For grins, I click on their Facebook page. Hours are listed as M-F 9A-5P.

    WTF?!?

Not only am I a bit peeved about their INGO special transfer fee of $40 (which I only learned about when Bob gave me a call to let me know my lower was ready for pick up), but now I learn that they can't even be bothered to list consistent operating hours for a potential customer to find.

All I ever read about ZRTS on INGO is how wonderful they are to work with. Well, each day that passes convinces me more and more that this will be my second interaction with ZRTS ... my first and last.
I am going to pick mine up at ZRTS this week. When I decided to have it sent back there I emailed ZRTS and asked what the fee was. Ingo $40. all others $50 the email said. I thought the $40 fee was fair because everybody should get something for their time. I am also driving 2 1/2 hours to get there. I have another deal down there to do also. When ZRTS called me to say it was in we went over the details the transfer fee and hours of operation. He said M-F 9am-5pm and INGO $40. No surprises for me. Maybe because I am driving so far that is why I asked. I hope INGO and ZRTS do it again next year I would like to get another one.

I enjoyed doing the buy (along with the dust cover buy and BT collection) but it was a metric *expletive* amount of work. I'll do another run next year assuming the INGO boss approves it, and they'll be INGO24-xxx serial. Won't be until then though unless there's a special cause to support.

    Meanwhile, I'll be napping.

They haven't been open on Saturdays for years. Not sure what Go Ogle is but on Google, it's pretty easy to read.

I've never been treated anything but fair with ZRTS and it seems like you should have had yours transferred somewhere local.

ZRTS is a great shop and Zach and his staff are knowledgeable, fair and kind. I do all my transfers through them.

$40 transfer fee is their standard fee. Maybe you can get a better deal somewhere else, and if so, go to that place for transfers. But when you want a specialty item like these INGO lowers, you might have to go to a place other than your choice.

As I understand it, ZRTS was only going to produce these lowers, not do the transfers. However, there were a bunch of local guys, like myself, that just wanted to pick them up directly from ZRTS. Therefore, we all had to pay the transfer fee for the convenience instead of getting them from Aszerigan. It a big deal to me.

As for their hours of operation, like everything online, there is always the possibility of misinformation. If you are driving a distance, probably best to call first and confirm when they are open.

ZRTS is a GREAT shop to have in central Indiana. They need not be disparaged in this situation.

Go Ogle is the correct and proper spelling and pronunciation of Google ... but that is a discussion for a different thread.

Here's the screen shot of what I saw yesteday, and again just now to prove to myself that I didn't totally misread the information and have been tilting at windmills ...

    Screenshot 2023-02-19 114516.jpg

Yeah, yeah ... transfer somewhere else ... call ahead ... blah, blah, blah ...

Some of my frustration was avoidable, some of it was not. At the time I placed my order for the lower, I thought it right thing to do was to give back to the people who actually manufactured the thing.

I've never interacted with ZRTS before. I had no idea their hours or transfer fees. Who would have suspected that such a highly touted company wouldn't keep their hours more up to date on the interwebs. Then to learn that they're giving me a special price to transfer becasue this deal was with INGO ... their price is officially the most I've ever paid for a single transfer ... ever!

All this rah, rah, rah for ZRTS is all well and good for those of you not in my shoes. I expressed my opinion, and nobody carrying water for ZRTS is going to sway it anytime soon. I won't be bullied by all this INGO razzing!

So, good for you if you've had nothing but rainbow and unicorn experiences with ZRTS. My experience is different and you should all celebrate that ... what a boring place this world would be if everbody thought and acted the same way.

I've had enough of this issue for now. I'm going to go outside and enjoy the sunshine and get some recoil therapy.

It is unfortunate that the hours were wrong online and certainly correctable. I totally understand the frustration.

But let's not forget, of the twelve manufacturers I called, ZTRS was the one that stepped up to DO the lower orders, and everyone makes mistakes. Totally get it @TJ Kackowski, not discounting the frustration, I'd honestly be pissed too. Might want to shoot them an email and let them know their hours are wrong on Duck Duck Go. Another case of online mis-information.

    What?

You tell me "Go Ogle" says one thing and then post a screenshot of duck duck go.

Im officially done with this conversation because apparently I'm not supposed to say anything if I can't say something nice.

I hope the sun melts the snowflake off your shoulder.
