I went yesterday and thought if I waited a couple hours there wouldn't be a line. Got there at about 12:30 and the line was pretty long but I had already committed. It actually didn't take too long to get in. I had taken some 9mm and .22 and some odds and ends and ended up selling the 9mm before I even got in. Sold the rest pretty quickly while walking around. I saw a few deals on some used revolvers but that was about it. I think I only saw two Marlins LA's in the whole place. I saw a few Winchester 94's on a table but they were about a 1K and not even that nice. Was it just me or was ZX not even there?

Do you mind if I ask how much you sold it for? I'm weighing the pros and cons of getting a table at a gun show vs. selling what I have to a gun show vendor. 9mm and .22 are two calibers I am thinking about liquidating.

At the show it was around .80 or more per round for 9mm and .22 was sometimes up to .20! I sold my 9mm for about .50 rd, I probably could have gotten more but there was an older couple behind me in line that came specifically for some 9mm so I let them have what I brought. I had a 325 rd brick of .22 that I sold to a couple ladies I saw about to pay 10.00 for a box of 50. That 325rd brick of Federal was going for about 65.00 on the tables, not sure if people were paying that though.

I was in the line Friday. Got there at 1 and entered at 2:30. I know there are bigger problems in the world, but why would they only have 2 of the 5 ticket booths open? How many people turned around and went home because of the line. I would have. Doesn’t take too many of those to pay for another money taker and you get your dedicated customers in faster.

I also thought the quality was way down. Very little high end merchandise.

Left work this morning and arrived early. I waited about 40 minutes as the number 4 guy at the front of the line. I really wanted to spend my money.... Looking for a Marlin 30-30. All three of them i found were overpriced and/or too used to buy. Maybe I should have tried on Friday. I left with a new BenchMade. Ended up going to Anderson to play with my money at the casino.

I went to the show on Saturday. It was lined up down the block but seemed to go fairly quickly. It may have taken half an hour or so to get in. The weather was beautiful and there weren't any maskholes in line so it was almost pleasant.

I never saw the INGO booth or any great deals. I bought a new gunbelt but couldn't find a shiny old S&W snub-nosed 38 special or 357 for a price I was willing to spend. Most were double what I last saw them for at the Tipton show. My desire was a whim. I don't typically drop over a grand on whims and $500 guns.

I was disappointed there weren't more vintage snubbies being offered for sale, or more reasonably priced ones.

I saw a sweet little Colt detective I contemplated buying but decided to wait for one in better condition. However, had he offered me a deal I would have probably taken it.

Even though I didn't find what I thought I wanted, I now know I want a Colt snubby instead of the S&W, unless of course the Smith is beautiful and priced to sell. Then I'll buy both. I liked the bigger grip on the Colt. The gun felt sturdier than the Smiths I have handled.

I tried the tenderloin from the food place. I was surprised how good was. It was more like a chicken fried steak instead of a dried-up, fair food tenderloin. It might have almost been worth the $9.

I didn't get crop dusted but did experience some inconsiderate people blocking tables. Overall it was a decent show. Although I thought it felt smaller than prior shows.

This concludes my book report on the February 2021 Indy 500.

The masks certainly helped with the reduction of the aroma of rotting teeth and stale coffee breath. :):
I’ve had the displeasure of being around it. So awful. I didn’t know it was a thing until I I noticed a second person with the same breath years later. I think a cigarette mixed into it just intensifies it.

^^^^^^^^^^^ THIS^^^^^^^^^^^^ nothing worse than being at the show and dealing with someone who smells like they just licked an ash tray.
