I’d say the posting yesterday I quoted that showed NRA membership or participation in patriot guard rider events were being considered extremist by FBI vetting set the bar really low.

Those taking command are hell bent on turning this country into a hole. Their failed policies have destroyed major metropolitan areas from sea to shining sea yet the morons keep voting for them. Five minutes of open minded research could convince anyone with three brain cells to bounce off of on another that the democrat platform is nothing more than fairy tales for the peasants and closed door, back room selling out of America's resources for the ruling class. Not a single democrat elected to a national political office has done anything to bring people up to their level, they've all gotten richer while the people they've BS'd into believing them get poorer.

You are already on a list, as am I or anyone who ever took an oath but refuses to bend over for the lunatics. I have no interest in attacking anyone but I will defend myself and my family from these socialist scumbags. I expect to be left alone, regardless of whatever the idiots decide to make illegal next week. Illegitimately "elected" officials create illegitimate legislation. Phylo you touched on my thought process here. I have a family and kids, I have no interest in attacking anyone. I simply want to be left alone and be allowed to work and raise my kids without fear of a 3 letter agency beating down my door at 3am because I do not toe the party line. I pray that I am not made a felon or deemed to be a member of a terrorist organization because of my pledge to maintain my oath to the constitution but current events have shaken me to the core.

to expand on my comparing this to Iraq transition, when people like you and myself in Iraq were left jobless and started being rounded up that was the catalyst that caused Iraq to become a decade long conflict instead of becoming a beacon of democracy in 2-3 years.

I am new here so my opinion will carry very little weight, I get that. That being said, I don't see how the elites in either party have really done anything productive for the average Joe in America. Washington is currently structured in such a way to ensure that the top 1% continue to reap the benefits of the labor of the remaining 99%. We are the "ants" in the Disney movie "A Bug's Life". Powers that be are tickled that the average Joe from the left now thinks his enemy is the average Joe on the right. We are all ants, regardless of political beliefs. The 1% tell us what to believe is truth while they continue to ensure their profit centers grow on the backs of the ants. Until we realized the power of our numbers and send representatives to Washington who are really interested in the needs of the ants, their desire to just be empowered to raise their families, we won't live up to the ideals our nation was founded upon. I don't buy that the Dems want a socialist America any more than I buy that the GOP wants to empower the ants. They want what's best for them, not for us.

I'm think more along the lines of TOU, and an owner wanting to keep his profits flowing. It might be an "academic" discussion, but anyone with half a brain knows what you are referencing. It is a discussion that members have been asked to avoid.
