so I thought I'd ask for some help.

I have a Weatherby SA-08 Deluxe 12ga that I would like to put a slug barrel on.
My problem is, Weatherby does not produce a slug barrel for this gun.

So, my question is, can I have a "replacement" barrel (intended for shot) cut down to produce a smooth-bore slug barrel? Will the "shot barrel" take the punishment from a slug?

One more question, anyone know where I can find a 'replacement" barrel for a Weatherby SA-08 Deluxe? :dunno:

I don't see any problem with doing that. I have done it before on other shotguns with no ill effects. This Remington was a 28" modified and I cut it down to 18 1/2" and added sights.
