7 Took that from the Illinois General Assembly page for House Bill 5855 which is the proposed "Assault Weapon" ban that will probably be voted in and signed by their little fat governor by the end of January. It does not mention non-resident car carry so that should not be affected if your carry piece is not capable of holding a mag with more than 10 rounds. The way it is written I do believe a Glock 26 10+1 will be illegal there because it will accept a Glock 17 mag. As is normal for Illinois parts of the proposed law are vague and stupid mostly because the ones writing the laws know nothing about firearms. Nothing should get done on this until the first week of Jan, just wanted to give a heads up to be watchful if you are someone that must enter that socialist state. It will be ruled unconstitunial but could be a real big hassle to get busted before that happens I still have friends and relatives I see in Illinois so will be watching and will update as things happen. | container other than the glove compartment or console. |
