Even after this ban is overturned, anti-gunners don't care, they'll just pass something else that has to be dragged through the courts. Overturn this law? Ok, pass another. That got overturned? Ok, pass something else. Rinse and repeat. They'll make the pro-2A community empty out their wallets by means of the judicial process. I've noticed this post-Bruen tactic being used more and more frequently. We see this playing out right now in Columbus Ohio and their flipping the bird at their state's preemption law.
Which is why it should cost them something.
    Them, not the public.

    Not really.
    It doesn't really.

Most, or even all, of the gun laws don't really address anything to fix the problem.
It's just 'we have to do .... SOMETHING.
Gun Grabbers: "We have to do SOMETHING!"

2A Supporters: "Ok, lets increase mental health care, remove the stigma from seeking help, and stop deterring people from seeking help by no longer denying their civil rights"

Gun Grabbers: "Why do you keep ignoring the problem, we have to DO SOMETHING!"

That idiot Pritzker goes and donates $$$ to Supreme Court Justices campaigns and says no conflict? Hello, hello? Ever hear of the term “appearance of impropriety” such that it rises to the level of a government ethics violation? Pritzker is another Illinois Governor in the long line of corrupt and morally deficient politicians. But then again you are swimming in the pool of corrupt Chicago and Illinois politics.

^This right here^…. This hit the nail on the head. One of several reasons I left that God forsaken state.

Not sure of the details or when it happened but I did read prickster made out of state campaign contributions to judicial races unlawful. But he just donated $1,000,000.00 to a democrat running for state supreme court in Wisconsin. I believe Soros also donated the same amount to that candidate. Well what can one expect from that little fat tyrant. Jim.

Not a new development but something just discovered by Todd Vandermide, he was the NRA lobbyist for the state of Illinois and the most knowledgeable person on Illinois gun laws. The mag ban actually goes into effect this coming Monday 4-10-2023, 90 days after it was signed.
Turns out the way the law is worded any handgun magazine that holds or can be readily converted to hold more than 15 rounds is illegal. So a Glock 26 holds 10 rounds and is perfectly legal, NO, since it has a removable base plate it can accept an extension that will give it more than 15 rounds.
1911 mags also have a removable base plate and can also be easily modified to hold more than 15 rounds. I don't know if there are any extensions that would fit but it is possible. Just how this will all play out with enforcement, who knows, it is after all Illinois.

This is a link to the video where Todd goes into the explanation. Jim.
