Bellicose Prtizker can thump his chest all he wants to, but he's going to have an extremely hard row to hoe trying to "fire" and replace 95+ elected county sheriffs, not to mention the elected States' Attorneys (prosecutors) in some of those counties who have aligned with their sheriffs. His legal standing removing other elected officials is tenuous at best. From a practical perspective, he doesn't have the resources to carry it out. As much as we might not like it at times, sheriffs and prosecutors have traditionally had considerable discretionary latitude in setting priorities and deciding what to pursue with enforcement as they do not have unlimited resources or budgets.

Does anyone know how the Illinois gun and mag ban effects industry's like Rock Island Arsenal, Rock River Arms, Springfield Armory and Optics Planet? They all sell or manufacture items that are illegal in Illinois.
Seems hipocritical that the Illinois legislature think that these bans are the answer but still allow them to be manufactured in there state and sold to others. The revenue from comes from those industry's must be substantial?

In the unlikely event that this piece of crap legislation survives, it appears it could mean Illinois gun shops are sitting on hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of inventory they can't sell. Just my opinion and IANAL.

This bag-full-of-crap Pritzker trying to ban guns, while his cousin is pushing children mutilations. Different butt-ugly heads of the same hydra.

I really don't think a governor of a state can fire any elected officials. I believe that would have to go thru an impeachment process. Only thing governor could do is with hold state money for that county to drive that official or officials out of office to put the citizens against them.
