While I agree with others that I'd definitely shoot it first with factory springs to at least establish a baseline, Wolff sells "gunsmithing" spring packs that come with a wide variety of springs in various sizes that you can cut and match to your application. They're a decent value and nice to have on hand for those who like to tinker.Wolff said they be getting back to me with a variety of springs.
I have a spring weight gauge... just sayingUpdate: I checked the current trigger pull, unaltered and it is 10 lbs DA and 6 lbs SA, not terrible but would like to see it lower.
Wolff Gunsprings got back to me, they said they found a great spring for me to experiment with and are sending me 3 of them.
I'm fixing up a jig to measure the spring strength as I work to find the lowest reliable strength for good primer ignition and then kick it back up a notch or two and see what I end up with.
The gun is not a barbecue gun it's more of a workhorse and it looks to be well built The only complaint I have left at this point is the magazine release but even it has loosened up some but it's not a 1911 yet.
I would like to take the magazine release out and see if I could polish it up and make it smoother but I'm concerned that I might have a hard time putting it back together.
Yeah I've got one but thanks.I have a spring weight gauge... just saying
Wolff has not yet attempted a spring kit for the Taurus TH 10/45 yet but I sent them a picture of the spring next to a ruler and provided them with the dimensions and they looked up and found a very similar spring.Care to share your Wolff spring part numbers? I picked up a TH10 earlier this year and was hoping Wolff would give us some options.

Item description is Taurus 65. 66. 669 RP Hammer spring 10 lb pack of three.
This is my crude but very effective way to measure the spring strength using the coat hanger wire and a fish scale which I checked against a postal meter scale to make sure it was accurate.View attachment 376290
No not yet but at the moment the magazine release spring may be my next challenge.Have you looked at increased power recoil spring options yet with Wolff?
You state "warrenty" won't apply.. I bought a used Taurus revolver, it had problems, I called them, they told me to send it in, so I did. They fixed the problem, I called again to ask the price, they said no charge, and sent it back. This was an older "Miami" marked gun, they have since moved HQ to Bainbridge, Ga. They fixed it any way, companies don't want bad reviews, or reputations..No.
Your reading comprehension is very poor.
Where on YouTube did you find complete disassembley and reassemblyr instructions? I have searched for days.
I was forced to purchase this firearm new
off of GunBroker sight unseen and when I got it I was disappointed in several things and since warranty would not apply I would have to correct the problems myself if possible.
Since others may be interested in this minor work on the TH series I decided to document it as best I could.
Now since I can do little else due to health, this is how I pass my time and I enjoy it, nuff said.
Warranty won't apply because they're not going to do anything just because I think it's stiff. You state "warrenty" won't apply.. Yep, I wouldn't be comfortable with that lighter spring, either. I'm very surprised that you weren't getting failures to fire with a light impact like that.I put the original Hammer spring back in and this is the demonstrated difference.
