    I love handguns I've got a lot of semiautomatic handguns 22lr, 9mm's, 10mm, 45acp's, and just 3 revolvers.

My revolvers are 44mag and 38 special and 22lr

I think I need to add the following revolvers.
357 magnum, 45colt. On the magnum I'm thinking 4-5" barrel, 45colt 4.5"-6" barrel something old western style for the 45colt.

Budget wise around $900 each out the door.
What do you recommend INGO? It can be SA or SA/DA revolvers.

Uberti 45 Colt is nicer looking has a more western flavor than the Ruger, but the Blackhawk can be loaded quite beyond anything the Uberti will handle. The dual cylinder Rugers are a plus as well.

While I love old Colts it will be hard to scare anything up for under $1 K.

SW 686, hole or no hole you can always plug it. I may be weird, but I prefer the 6 shot 686. I've had a 7 and the 6 felt better to me triggerwise. I put a Wolff type 2 reduced power mainspring in without messing with the set screw and its fantastic. Sets off every primer I've fed it. I debate more tuning with the set screw. JM said the new SW's are the best they've ever made. I know... MIM, thing is MIM is good, just depends on who is making it. There is good MIM and bad MIM. I realize that statement is fighting words around here to some.

For .357 Magnum, I would look at the S&W 686, Ruger GP-100 or try to find a S&W 27 on the used market.

For .45 Colt, if you can find one on the used market, I highly recommend the Ruger Blackhawk Bisley. Like this one, some came with a second 45 ACP cylinder. A Ruger Redhawk in .45 Colt would also be nice to have if you can find one of those.

I'd give my left nut for a 4" Model 25 in .45 Colt! Seems like all the good stuff isn't produced anymore. I have a convertible Blackhawk in .45 Colt/.45 ACP, and it is a dream to shoot. It's blued with a 4 5/8" barrel. I actually like it even better with the .45ACP cylinder because the shorter cases are easier to deal with, but it's nice to be able to juice things up with heavy .45 Colt for hiking in bear country.

As to a .357 there are a lot of options out there. I recently posted in another thread that I like my 3" SP101 for practical reasons. But if you're looking for something bigger, it's hard to beat an S&W Model 19, or a 27 or 28.

No doubt about it, a double action Colt chambered for .45 Colt.

If you get the Smith, slug it and check closely for barrel constriction at the frame.

What size gun are you looking for in a 357?

Smith makes pocket J-frames all the way up to long-barrel N-frames in the caliber.

The shooting experience, as one can imagine, is vastly different !

On Friday, I was shooting with friends and had taken my S&W Model 13 with a 3” barrel along. That old gun let me put 4 of 6 rounds into the 100 yard steel targets down at HHRP with little effort. There is just something right about a 3” .357 Mag. I too love handguns and that old S&W sure does make that love satisfying.

Very nice revolver. Are they still producing them?
No, the Smith 625 is out of production but there's actually a nice one available right here on INGO:

You've picked two very nice revolver calibers with .357 magnum and .45 Colt...I love both of those calibers!
Smith & Wesson J-frames in .357 magnum can be a handful to shoot, unless you're using lighter 110 grain rounds, but they're an joy to carry in a lightweight 5-shot revolver!
For field work, I prefer a Ruger GP100 in 3", 4", or 5" version...the 6" version is just a tad nose-heavy for my personal comfort...but to each their own!
In .45 Colt...the Ruger Bisley Blackhawk is probably the most comfortable SA revolver, and the Redhawk is excellent as well!

My favorite Ruger GP100....a 4" fixed-sight model in .357 magnum.

The one listed is 45acp only. Not a 45colt.

The Ruger GP100 I like the looks of. Somewhere I read if you get 45colt in a Ruger Blackhawk you can load them up pretty hot.

You're correct, the one listed is .45 acp...my bad! Brain dead after a loooong work week!
Yes, the Blackhawks can take a beating...I definitely want a Blackhawk Bisley in .45 Colt!
The Alaskan in .454 Casull will handle .45 Colt +P ammo as well and is a nice blend between standard .45 Colt and the heavier hitting .454 Casull round...and I've carried .45 Colt +P as a hiking round in the southern Appalachians on several occasions!
    I get my .45 Colt +P ammo from Littlestone's Ammunition: http://www.littlestonesrus.com/45-COLT-P_c_29.html
