So, awhile back, I posted about finding a cool glass bottle from the 1930s while burying a groundhog my dogs killed. The bottle was cool and all, but this morning, while burying yet another unfortunate groundhog, I find this View attachment 220578
I’d love to take a metal detector around our 112 year old house to see what might be there. Unfortunately we’ve unearthed about 100 horse shoes since we’ve moved here so I think it would probably get frustrating pretty quickly. I’ll try some day anyway.

I’m seriously in the market for a metal detector now. Every time I dig in the area between my house and my daughters, I find something. This grip panel was about 10-12 inches deep.

Go for it. Take some time getting to know your detector. It's a lot of fun.
A non-metallic garden trowel (like Fiskars) and metal pinpointing wand (like Garrett), are very helpful once you're on a target.
