If this were me, I'd send an email asking the local PD if it's ok for you to conduct a firearm sale on their premises and CC the potential buyer. Or choose whatever parking lot you feel comfortable with using during the day. If the buyer flakes out, then you probably dodged a bullet.

Fellas, those are some GREAT replies. Good advice and I almost fell off the chair more than once. :D Looks like my instincts are in line with most of yours. Good to know.

I did a bunch of online research before moving to Indiana not long ago, trying to figure out a good place to land. For the record, I moved from another RED state west of here, so I didn't bring any "Left-leaning tendencies" with me.

I recall some real estate search website describing "typical Hoosiers" as easy-going, friendly people. That's been my experience except for a few hard cases, so I think selling to INGO members is a pretty safe bet. Thanks to your suggestions, I called a nearby police precinct and they said, "No problem, as long as what you're selling is legal." :D

On the other hand, I understand points made against transacting in a PD parking lot. Thanks for both perspectives. I have Lowes, HomeDepot, Menards and others relatively nearby, so I guess I'll choose each venue based on the vibe I get from each buyer.

Oops my bad, thought this was the Marijuana thread. ;)
I used to frequent an online forum website for players of Fender Stratocaster guitars. They have a forum there entitled the "Pickup Forum" as in the magnetic components that convert steel guitar-string resonance into electrified sound.

My first (and only) post in that forum was,
    "So where are the chicks?"

They freaked out. Banned me forever. :D

I would've asked where to find the C-10's.

Bought a Glock from an Ingo member at a gas station in Bargersville.

Everyone standing around knew what was going on.

One guy even made a crack about Biden coming after us.

Lots of times in Walmart parking lots.

I tell you what, I’ve bought many things on Craigslist and never felt as safe as buying/selling a gun to an Ingo member.

Some of y'all sure do trust your local police a lot. Wild to me. Just meet in public.

    My #1 tip...if you don't feel comfortable...at all...walk away.

If they won't do the deal on your terms, walk away.

Like...I offer to call people, text, however THEY are comfortable when I'm buying. I ask them what size bills they are OK with and on and on.

It is definitely nice when you know who you are buying from/selling to based upon past experiences.
