I like to keep my EDCs around that $50 mark, I know that eventually I'll need to cut a concrete block or a railroad spike with it and wouldn't want to damage a more expensive blade.
I have some more expensive, classic knives that I carry on special occasions, but I would probably drive back home a get one of my EDCs if I were out and needed a blade instead of using my nicer ones.
OMG I have a bbq knife, lol.

My EDCs are under $75. I did have a Ken Onion Blur that $100ish, but lost it in short order at work. Then I got a cheap CRKT and still have it. I like a little cheaper one so when I'm jabbing it in the dirt cutting roots or something I don't really care.

In my daily rotation the knives I carry are anywhere from 75-200
Yesterday it was a zero tolerance 350, today it’s a launch 7, and tomorrow might be a Al Mar sere, or one of four or five others just depends on which one I grab that day.

But knives (just like guns) are a buy once cry once item, I used to buy 10-20 dollar low carbon, made in China cheap flea market knives, now I buy nice American made high quality knives

PM2 user here as well. $80 in the classifieds, have paid $160 for a new one.

I will say the $100+ knives keep me honest. I use a knife to cut, a pry bar to pry, and a screw driver to drive screws now. I didn’t do that with a cheaper Delica.

Between $300-$500 myself, I only buy premium American steel. It's a matter of professional pride at this point. But not many can say they do what I do for a living.

All depends on what I am feeling. I have an Ontario Rat1 all the way up to some Chris Reeves knives. Depends on occasion and what I plan to get into that day. Top two carried are Spyderco Tenacious and ZT0562CF

Having read your posts for several years, I'm curious, Dean.
What do you do for a living ? :)

Super Alloys , recently got promoted so now I am a supervisor at 27. Specializing in Nickle Cobalt stuff that does not melt and cannot corrode. Very expensive used in aerospace applications. We make the legendary Stellite 6K too
