Call me a cynic or pessimist, but, while I'm happy with the apperant result, this should have been a complete rout considering what we've experienced over the last half a decade, but especially the last 9 months. That this wasn't a win by a 15-20 point margin is a demonstration of the unplumbed depths of abject stupidity of a significant portion of the American electorate.

I presume this is over now, but Fox does not generate the numbers you see, they come from a source that all the networks use.

McAullife was counting on the teachers union that he backed over parents rights to save his ass. He was promising them higher wages if he was elected. Well it didn't work. The parents rights movement prevailed.
