Only buy guns in one caliber. That way you can always have enough of the right ammo for any gun you have.

Yeah I try to subscribe to this to a certain extent. I buy glocks for the interchangeable mags, and 22lr stuff that can all be used in all my platforms.
But I do have several calibers to feed. A few hunting calibers, a few SD calibers, a few shotgun calibers.
Not as many as some but more than 1.
