It has been brought up by my wife that we sit around here and complain about what is happening. I think she may be right. I am a hunter ed instructor so I have some contact with people that aren't always gun owners. They take their kids to learn "gun safety". I bring this up from time to time but the one thing I always mention in my teaching is how the gun owners have sent billions of dollars to help with wildlife and the parks. This is done through a self imposed tax of 11% called the Pittman Robertson Act of 1937 it was passed by a bipartisan congress with the help of Franklin Roosevelt. Instead of just saying it is my right ask them if they are willing to put a 11% tax on what they like to do to help the country out. That money will have to be replaced somehow. I think this should be brought up more than it is just something to think about. Help spread the word to others that may be on the edge this may be all it take to help them see the light. :dunno:
