Slowly getting caught up on projects. Just finished up a couple heavy duty pancake style holsters for 1911s. Made them from 12oz saddle skirting which means they ended up being 3/8 Thick. Made them for a buddy that is rough on his gear and wanted them made from skirting leather and with 4 separate stitches so one could be worn through and the others would still be good.

Pretty. Going to take a heck of a belt to strap that down
He sent me a super thick probably 14-16 oz belt blank a while back to basket weave and put a buckle on. I had to make sure the belt slots were big enough to accommodate it. I'm pretty sure his belt blank was meant to be a machine belt.
    Nice work
    Thank you!

He originally asked for 3 holsters one for him one for his son and then one to tuck away for a rainy day. But then he decided he only wanted 2 so now I have a spare boat anchor of a holster.
