Love mine!! I’ve have several over the years, my son has one as well, both mostly bone stock, modified the bolt release, and both have scopes, we’ve shot 2 Appleseeds with them. Can’t see the need for any other .22 semi auto!

I love mine. The Ford Mustang of rifles. Only the AR has more aftermarket options.

This would be a good thread to offer up your must-have mods, maybe?

1: bolt release: file the "Tip of the heart" away so the bolt will drop just by releasing the bolt pressure. My only complaint about a stock rifle is how finicky the bolt release is. Or if you are not handy, just buy the Kidd part.

2: Axiom stock: for smaller kids, these stocks are great and really help lighten it.

3: Tech Sights: Ditch the crap sights and add the same basic sights used on the AR15.

4: Magazine release: LOVE this one. You can use your index finger to drop the mag without letting go.

The bad thing about the 10/22 is that there are a zillion ways to modify it and make a personal special edition. Like the bullpup I did this to mine: Ruger 1022 num 3 Bullpup.JPG

And another favorite with light weight barrel and stock:

    Ruger 1022 light.JPG

Ok, so the scope about doubles the weight, but it's a tack driver!

I know I'm going to be the odd man out, but I bought a 10/22 (and this is really going to crank up the hate) from Dick's when they had them on sale for 179.99 or something like that. It was bone stock, with the wood furniture. I just never warmed up to it and sold it shortly after.

I get that they're easily customized, but that's not something that interests me. I like old classic semi-auto 22's.

That’s my steel challenge/bowling pin gun! I can’t tell you how amazing that gun really is… I’m fact it’s so amazing it helped someone (me!) win our clubs bowling pin matches 2 out of 3 times this year!
