So I've decided to build a do everything rifle with high quality parts. It's a 13.9 inch Criterion barrel will have a solgw nox flash hider pinned and welded. I'm looking for handguard recommendations I thought I had a line on an older 13 inch geissele rail but it ended up being 13.5. The barrel is on back order and I don't think the 13.5 will give me enough room for my deadair can. I'm looking for something in the 11.5-13 inch range that's of equal quality to the giessele. Fairly light yet durable. I thought I would ask the crowd for their experiences?

This is what I run on my 14.5 barrel, but I don't run a can. It might be a touch long at 13.4" to the flare.

    The MCMR-10 is 10.5.

I really like the kac urx4 but I'm also kinda looking at a 12.5 PRI gen3. Does anyone have one of the PRI handguards to give a little feed back on how they like it?

I had a gen2 on clone build I sold it about 5 years ago. I liked the rail alot It was just heavy especially if you add the spr rail. FYI you have to buy the wrench separately or use a strap wrench.

Ok that's what I was worried about was the weight with the full length spr top rail.

I may have found an actual 13" geissele Mk4 just waiting on an email confirming the length. If anyone knows any were that may have one a heads up would be really appreciated.

This is what I have on my 13.9 Criterion build (great minds think alike) and I love it. It’s my favorite upper.

In general I think MI is very underrated, or at least not mentioned enough in this realm.

Do you a have a pic? Id like to see the clearance that barrel provides fro the 13.9" barrel.

    13" kac urx4 w/ 13.9" barrel
You'll have to excuse my ancient keymod
Nice match! It seems like .8 to .9 is the sweet spot for barrel length to handguard if you want your suppressor to be flush. I just got done putting together an 10.3 barrel with a 9.5 Midwest Industries handguard and got similar results.

    It's actually a 13.7 barrel shimmed to 13.9 for just over 16" oal. The urx4 makes p&w a 13.7 barrel a pain 13.9 is definitely the way to go with a urx4.
