Slovenia has announced it’s sending to Ukraine some very old tanks. As in, 70 years old, if you’re simply dating the original design. But the Slovenians have given them some interesting upgrades.

Russian T-62 now seeing heavy combat in Kherson.



Interestingly, due to not having an Autoloader with ammo out where it can blow off the turret, disabled T-62s are being seen with the crew being able to escape..


It seems the Russian autoloader system, is an absolute fail. If only because it puts the ammo supply in a very vulnerable position in the turret basket.

This is why the M1 tank kept the loader and has an automatic door that opens and presents the ammo to the loader.
