You pretty much just wrote most of your ad in your previous post. Like he said, just be up front and honest. The buyer can decide whether or not it matters to them.
What the heck, I`ll give it a try. It`s a great looking rifle. Would be great for coyotes or other varmints as is. Like I said, even good for deer out to 150 yards.

I once had a similar situation. Invested a lot of time getting handloads down to moa groups. Sold it to a guy who didn't reload, he was thrilled to get a gun that would hit 10" plate at 400 yards with factory ammo, even if not on every shot. Being upfront with your results is all anyone can ask for.

best I can get from it with factory ammo is around a 2" group....

I`m leery of selling it here because I don`t want someone here upset with me if they buy the rifle, then they`re not satisfied with the groups the rifle gives them.

Lie. Tell them it's a 3.5" rifle, then when it shoots 2" they'll be tickled (poo-less) and brag to everyone how they got over on you.

Not a lawyer, but is that legal? Doesn’t the FFL have to do a 4473? to take possession? Assuming he is buying at wholesale then selling at retail, wouldn’t that put you in direct competition with him?

I guess I’m missing something if you folks say it’s being done. Guess I’ll have to wait and hear the skinny from those that know.

Yes to forms, both in and out.

Competition, no, because the shop takes it's cut of the sale price. Usually around 10% or so. I don't think there's a ton of markup on new guns these days. Once Bud's Guns got big and all the other online competitors cropped up there was a lot of downward pressure on new gun prices. Having another gun on the wall that you'll make 10% on and have none of your own cash tied up in isn't a bad deal.

that is a great looking rifle. I hope you ruled out the rings and scope. Also some shops near me will buy or consign with a 10 -20 percent fee.

Neither the scope nor the sling go with the rifle. Not sure about the rings. The old rings I had with it could go with. The Leupold 3.5 x 10 that`s on it now goes with my new rifle, but I don`t know if those rings will work with my new rifle...

    from $550 to $750?
    Typo? Change of heart?
    Inflation?
Shhhhh. I just got very good intel that I had listed at WAAAYYYY too low a price and that I`d be getting raped at the earlier price point. You wouldn`t want that for me, would you? It`s still open for negotiation, but, it`s got to be fair.

    No sir I would not...
I was hasty in my initial posting of the item for sale. I really had nothing to base the offered sale price on, other than a "gut instinct", which was obviously too low and too uneducated. After hearing from a close friend as well as a "good Samaritan" here, I revised the asking price. I know asking prices are subjective on used items, there`s still somewhat of a perceived value. But really, I`m already dead upon my wife finding out I bought a new rifle, so it`s all really irrelevant. Trying to sell the Ruger is really just a "feel good" notion for my sense of self preservation.
The price might still be open to some negation, but man, I just don`t want to give the thing away.

No worries. I was about to PM that I'll take it and I'm glad I went to the ad as I was about to be real confused lol. It's all good I'm sure someone will want it. Take care and good luck.
