I buy a gun like a Ruger LCP II and an original model Smith Shield and Sig P365 and a few years later they come out with the version of the gun I wish they had made from the start. In the case of the Sig did buy the newer P365X. And now have a Ruger LCP MAX.

Private ranges can be over rated. Everyone wants to use yours, but when it comes time to run a brush hog so you can get there, there are no potential range uses in sight …. Let me know when all the upkeep is done so I can come by.
I shoot on a very nice and generous guys land. As a rural guy "trapped in the suburbs" it feels like, and I'm trying not to exaggerate here, a good 1/3 of the benefit of having access is the ability to go there and mow, pick up brass, clean... and generally get to work in the open rural area.

Guys that reply to gun forum threads obviously designed to vent your gripes and post general comments instead. Yeesh, this guy! :-)

    Good perspective, Kudos!

I've had sections of my range set up for years. Always some maintenance to do.
As I've expanded it, of course, evermore maintenance.

I think I get as much, if not more, from just being out there doing something, whatever it is.

Wow, that IS nice! I was in a tinkering mood and made these range distance markers last summer. Buried flush with the ground. First pic is before color filling the numbers.

I wanted to make one that said 100 yds (arrow pointing down range) and 24,902 mi (arrow pointing up range) for humor but why invite jokes that promote bad range behavior. :-)
