Put me down for a Yellow. Good for not losing it quite so easy and looks kinda EMS/Fire'y.

Once we get these I can program them up for anyone who wants to listen (but not talk, I hasten to add) to their local PD/Fire as well as some ham channels and WX/NOAA channels etc.

I believe they come with the software already which is the good thing about these radios. They may be from China but a: they're cheap, b: basically bullet proof (well not literally) and programming them is pretty easy.

The antenna is removable and you can fit an external antenna for them on your car or just a longer one when you're handholding the radio.

Great news the price has just dropped to $51.90 per unit. Of the 8 vendors I have contacted only 2 have replied so far. One said 5+ is $51.90 the other said to give him a # and he can send me an invoice. So as we get closer to the deadline and we know how many the price may drop even more!

You might contact this dealer directly for an even better price. Right now he has the same radio/package for $45.70 shipped. Took 2 weeks to get mine. (edited - just noticed this deal does NOT include the USB cable at this price - but it's still a good deal)

BAOFENG UV-3R (Mark II) UPGRADE 136-174/400-470Mhz Dual Freq Display | eBay

    he,he,he...
He is one of the dealers that I did contact on eBay.
99% of them are out of Hong Kong. One was in CA.
Yes the radio alone can be gotten for a little cheaper but in this group we are asking for 1 radio + 1 USB program cable per package & thus why it's a bit higher.

Wow, Great Deal , if'n You weren't so durn fer away, I might take 2 :yesway:

    No name please. :D
My sister lives in Indy you could always pick them up from there?
She does come up once a quater.

Shipping them to you is another possible route but I suspect that in doing that you might end up lossing the savings of the group buy. I think 2 - 4 radios would fit in a medium size flat rate box minus there box and that runs about $11.

    Food for though.
