in today’s times about 40 cents a round seemed to be an ok price? So I picked up a box with out paying too much attention. Not really needing it but I really enjoy target practice with my Mini 14. So there is that.

When I got home noticed it’s labeled green tip? I am aware of orange tip tracer rounds. But Green?

Its fine, just keep it away from steel targets. Its a partial steel core penetrator round. Shooting steel targets with it gets expensive, real quick.

If I came across green tip at 40 cpr in today's climate I would be buying as much as the seller would let me.

I really did not need it so to speak, I have a decent stash from when Walmart was clearing out Perfecta 223 for $6.00 for 50 rounds pretty doubtful I will ever see those prices again.

So far just like the Maubama years if I see it and I have the discretionary funds at the time I will grab a box or two just because.

Ok so it a no go for my steel gongs. May just end up putting it aside. Not really sure what application I would use it for. I really prefer steel gongs to paper no clean up.

    Thanks
My steel gongs are made from Bradley fighting vehicle armor plate, and even .50 caliber AP will not penetrate them - they just ring all that much louder

M193 55gr has more penetration within 50 yards and will leave bigger marks on ar500 targets than m855 in my experience. After 50 yards m855 has better penetration. But within 50 its hard to beat m193 for penetration.
