    For years everyone said people were crazy for thinking that the government could control the weather. Appears some apologies are due.

    They've been doing it since The Vietnam War, probably even longer

    I remember reading about such things...in elementary school...in the '70s.

    To say they are "controlling" the weather is a little optimistic, or pessimistic, depending on your perspective. It's more like- since they can't control the weather, they are trying to influence it a little around the edges.

    The jury is out as to weather it works at all. The electricity thing may be a newer technique to do the same thing, but the evidence on it is no more convincing.

    I remembering reading awhile ago about covering a big part of the Sahara with solar farms. The article opined that it would significantly affect the climate of the rest of the continent.

    Is that why it rains on my days off much more often then on my working days? I irritated some office drone at Weather Control (Midwest Division) - Office of Precipitation?
