On a more serious note, the betting odds are"

    G41 is IPSA-length .45ACP (Think G35 in .45ACP_
G42 is compact .380 (think Kahr P380 in Glock form)

Thin is in. Since glock only has one model with a single-stack mag, they are missing out on market share, big time.

Why they are doing .380 instead of a 9mm is beyond me!

You're probably right about .380ACP, because for some reason no manufacturer will make a reasonably-priced, reliable, single-stack, subcompact 9mm without slapping a manual safety or some other idiotic point of failure on what should be a simple defensive weapon. See: PPS, Shield, LC9, 938.

I do hope I'm wrong. Someone has to break the moratorium on a no-nonsense 9mm sometime, and my gun fund is flush.

For once, you and I agree on something - now go buy a Kahr CM9. It's exactly what you've asked for. That said, Glock has the ability to build a better one, I suspect. And for some screwy reason, they never have.

I've seen those online, but never even held one. The Kahr name turns me off, but I really ought to at least have a look.

But I still want my single stack G26.

What.... do I detect PREJUDICE??? From a relative lefty like yourself??? GASP..... :D

Just giving you crap... all in fun. Seriously - they are solid and worthwhile beasts. The best DAO trigger around - although some folks still can't stand DAO. That's what Glock would have the advantage on, I think. Otherwise I don't think Glock has anything on a Kahr.

Why does it seem so obvious to us but yet all the marketing departments are missing this? The lack of all the switchgear and the "point-squeeze-bang" simplicity of a Glock are probably its strongest selling points (aside from reliability).

A G36 in 9mm (with the appropriate width paring) would sell as fast as they could make them for a long time.

So it appears it is a .380. Why not bring a 9mm to the market, unless they are saving that for the NRA Annual Meeting.

I had a CW9 and the trigger was not good. Too long and too heavy. It wouldn't chamber rounds unless you pulled the slide stop, couldn't sling shot it.
Is the CM9 a better gun in those regards?
I would love the glock trigger rather than the Kahr really long trigger.

If it is a .380, I have absolutely no interest.

Still interested because of potential size. If it's a single stack with a little extra room (length) for a 9mm in the same frame then it may lead to a good single stack 9mm Glock. And hopefully it doesn't get model #45.

Itd be be nice to have an ankle carry Glock single stack 9mm vs the 26 that I currently use.

I hate those little pocket 380s built to meet a price point. But if Glock can actually make a reliable 380 subcompact I might give it a look. I am looking for a replacement for my snubbie. Maybe?
