Girsan 1911?

The LGS has a Girsan 1911 that seems really well made.
Slide is really tight, lockup is tight, machine work is fabulous.
price...$550
Anyone have any experience with this pistol?
It is tempting for the price.
Already have a smattering of 1911s of various manufacturers, but other than a trout line weight I bought once, this would be one of the cheapest.

Our LGS had one. I looked at it a couple of times. Seemed really well made, fit and finish, from looking at it.

Price is not bad, compared to a RIA or Citadel.

I read that they are forged slide, and frame as well. Maybe someone can confirm that.

Yes, EAA says they have a hammer forged frame and slide, CNC machined.

I have the SS Duty model and love it.

Seen/fondeled one but never ran it. Fit up and finish was nice enough for the price point. Accuracy would be my concern but I did not get to test that.
