If you wanted to jam your dream of a green energy utopia down on a resistant bunch of neanderthals, would you do anything different than they’re doing now?

If the goal was to destroy Liberty, is there a single thing these ***holes would be doing differently?

    Not a single thing.

Biden Says Americans To Suffer High Gasoline Prices For “As Long as it Takes”

To improve green energy stocks and electric car and truck sales, and stock prices.
As long as it takes for what? For everyone to admit that sanctions aren't working? That a Russian victory, as bad as that is, is inevitable? The green industrial complex is a likely target, yes. And in service of the environutters.

Yep. When you’re wealthy, inflation doesn’t hurt.
    Not quite accurate.

When you're wealthy inflation helps you become infinitely more wealthy. If your debts are on hard assets, like housing and land, you just had your debt significantly reduced as the asset has gained a massive amount of value.

Effectively, you're giving the wealthy the ability to print money as long as inflation grows quickly.

"Germany has prepared a facility to impose a levy on all gas consumers to help suppliers grappling with soaring gas import prices, according to a draft law amendment seen by Reuters.

The government has stopped short of allowing sellers to pass on prices through the supply chain, citing fears of inflation and a cost of living crisis for consumers.

Lawmakers need to identify who can claim and how much they can claim, as well as establishing what mechanism could be used to pass on costs to consumers."

So the "plan" is to pass on the cost to consumers, but to hide it in the form of a levy so it does not look like they are passing the cost(you know because consumers can actually see inflation)to consumers. The entire idea is predicated on bailing out the gas suppliers and distribution companies. That is the point of the amendment period. They are hurting my brain with the double speak.

"Stopped short of allowing sellers to pass on the prices" BUT "What mechanism could be used to pass on costs to consumers" ....ie the levy amendment, which does exactly what is sounds like and lets the sellers pass on prices to the consumer.

How many bureaucrats do you think earned a living coming up with a plan to do exactly what they supposedly wanted to avoid(passing cost to consumers),by calling it something else?

Bureaucrats" No no your gas prices did not go up,your taxes did"

and just like that Natural gas prices fell from $9.56 to $5.62(USA ONLY,as the EU is now FUBAR)

So what happened? The second largest export terminal for LNG had an explosion and shut down for 90 days for repairs. Prices have gone down since, but today the government stepped in. The plant is a public danger you see(very much so to next winters heating bills) and it will not be allowed to restart for likely 6 months to a year,if ever.

In the scramble to control everything(EPA),this ONE time they may have helped the USA(but screwed Germany/EU big time). I do not think they "helped" the USA on purpose, some EPA person probably thought it would hurt the oil/gas company. It having a benefit for American consumers was never part of the plan.

Now if we could do something about those other dangerous exports....gas,diesel,heating oil ect....lol. Ending most all exports really would half the price of gas and diesel,as LNG just proved in less than 2 weeks(with only a 30% reduction in exports).

It is so nice that the tax on gasoline automatically went up today, July 1 at a time when price looked like they were starting down a bit, our great state governing people allowed an automatic increase to take place at a time when just the opposite should be happening.

And I thought republicans were the ones "for the people"?

According to GasBuddy, I'm not seeing the price bump we should be seeing from the new gas tax increase effective today?

    .
Yeah. Was $4.94 2 days ago here and was $4.94 when I filled up this afternoon. Thinking instead of a price drop it just held steady

The special session has been pushed back for a few weeks, because abortion. :n00b:

Gives us a couple weeks to raise holy hell with our legislators about suspending this foolish gas tax for forseable future. Especially while the state is contemplating how to give us back SOME of taxes we have been overcharged. :xmad:
