I sure hope you just forgot to use purple. The regime in power in Venezuela has never been a friend of the US. Their oil producing machinery is in shambles. Everything that can be stolen has been. It would take years and billions of dollars to get it up and running again.

Mean while, down in Texas, they are putting out less than half of their potential due to regulations. With the wave of a pen all the lost oil from Russia could be replaced by American oil and half again as much. The people in Alaska are begging the .gov to allow them to increase production but were turned down.

It kind of makes you wonder what the whole goal of the Biden administration is, doesn't it? Even if they were not trying to destroy the country, if they were what would they be doing differently?
Originally it was in purple. I changed it since there is talk of this happening. It can't be a joke if it is true, right?

Clown world. We have all crossed over into clown world.

Had a friend drive down to Southern Calif for a family member funeral. He sent this... Up here in No Cal- up in the foothills, regular is running at $5.29, medium $5.49 and premium at 5.69 Diesel for $5.99

I can see $9-10/gal here by Memorial Day...

Shelves at the supermarket here are getting bare and skyrocketing prices! We need to tell the goobermint we can feed our families or pay taxes. ...but not both.

Hope we can we hold on till the midterms?? FWIW!

Fuel prices already affecting the price of groceries. I've noticed a 10-15% jump in prices already. It's only going to get higher. Might want to stock up on items that keep for a long time.

Had to buy some groceries today too. Easily up 10-15% across the board. Astonishing.

It’s time for those oil states to do what the blue lib states do. Flip the bird to the Fed and move on (drill). What is the fed going to do, especially with elections coming up.
The blue states can burn federal buildings for all they care, it is 'nothing to see here...'

Let a red state even say they are going to do what you say and the National Guard will be on every street corner.

All I can think of it is a long term attempt to bring Venezuela back into the fold. They send people in under the guise of we need oil, which is stupid but not as politically stupid as denouncing a previously supported and recognized regime in favor of a corrupt socialist regime that cares nothing for it's people in an attempt to make Venezuela dependent on America so we can force them to be green or what ever unicorn laden dystopia the far lefties envision. Sure people will call them stupid for asking Venezuela for oil since anyone in the oil industry knows it is in shambles but they are use to being called stupid by now but no one would raise an eyebrow to any other long term plans.

Does anyone feel like we are all being distracted? It is all look Russia is in Ukraine! Putin is raising gas prices, no it is the evil oil industry! What if we just stopped where we are, closed the southern border, kick the drug kartels back to the other side of Mexico, regain our energy independence and took a breath to see what needs done elsewhere? If ever we needed to get the log out of our own eye so we can see clearly to get the speck out of someone else's eye, then this is it. Every reason they have to support Ukraine we have here at home at the southern boarder. No large munitions as of yet but American dead from the drugs none the less.

I am not an isolationist, I am not saying we'll do us you do you. What I am saying is we need to mend the arterial bleed we have so we will be able to help others. You can't do that after you are dead...

I'll go out on a limb here and say, he's not entirely wrong. Oil companies have plenty to do with it.

Oil companies have been raking in record profits as the price we pay at the pump goes up and up. They could choose to lower their margin a bit and help out the masses, but they won't. Their primary responsibility is to their shareholders and their shareholders demand maximized profit. 2020 was a rough year for big oil. They aren't about to cut us a break.

Those evil oil companies must be brand new, eh?

No way they could have survived the Trump administration years, with $16 a barrel oil and $1.82 gas at the pump.

Back when we were energy independent. And consequently, inflation free. :n00b:

We have stations that jumped to $4.99/gal. I just got 7.7** gals at the very low price of $4.14, at the cost of $32.
