    Have this growing out around my oak tree. What is it and is it edible.? If so how is a good way to eat it? Thanks

    Yeah my neighbor's tree across the street looks really bad with these.
    I'm pretty sure the tree got hit by lightning a year or to back.

    FYI - l'd go slow on eating piles of these. More concern for gastric upset than morels or chicken of the woods.
