So I have been searching for some grip tape that comes precut for the front strap of a 1911. Unfortunately I do not have the. Manual dexterity to cut trim etc.
It's not spongy. I feel it gives me a better grip of the gun without the cost of checkering. I tried the one from WC that Tyler posted and wasn't a fan.
I just use mine for range fun so I went with the regular rubber. You might find the Pro or Granulate a better option if you carry the gun.
You can "test" them out so to speak without sticking them down since the gun's grip panels overlap the Talon a bit.
I don't know if they offer that in their new "pro" offering but that's what I have on all of my off duty guns. The regular rubber texture doesn't really offer much grip in my opinion. The pro is a good balance between the rubber and the granulate.
I use deck take, like the anti slip stuff for decks… you can order huge rolls of it and cut what you need. It’s very aggressive, so weak hands need not apply lol
Some examples of mine… was going to cut out spaces for the mlok, but got lazy. The 226 has some on the front of slide, green AR has some on grip frame, and experimented with the ar magazine.
