So from working in the gun department at Dicks Sporting Goods I see guns come in every once in awhile that are pretty ridiculous. A gentleman brought in a Franchi the other day that was broken and said he had spend over 2000 dollars on it. Is there something special about Franchi's I'm missing or did the guy get ripped off. I personally think he got ripped off when he could have gotten a really nice browning over and under for 1500.

I am not sure what it was but it looked nice. But looking nice and actually being nice are two different things.

Franchi shotguns are upper end. I own one that is a field grade and it is far nicer than any other O/U shotgun I have ever seen or handled in my 60 year lifetime. I got it in a trade 20 years ago for about 500 bucks. I have been told it is worth $1400, but since I love it, I won't find out.

JMHO. You might think differently based on your vast experience.:)
