I too may have some firewood soon if anybody wants to come pick it up.

Moms place just sw of Royalton. County sent her a letter they are sending cams up her worthless drain tile. She is afraid they are going to tell her she needs to cut down a bunch of trees. She doesnt have the cash to pay a tree service, and I dont have the truck to move the wood. (But I do have a very nice old school Stihl and the skills to fell them)

So if push comes to shove and somebody needs the wood, there may be some available.

    .
Split up more of the hickory today, going out tomorrow to cut more of it up. It's a big tree, the old 046 Stihl will have it's work cut out for it. Told the gardener that we may have to look at a bigger saw as the trees keep getting bigger. She said that's just tool envy.;)

046? You just need a longer bar. GMCTTR gave me a 25" for the 041 farm boss and boy, is it nice.

Taking down this tree close to the barn.. it’s split down the middle of the Y. I took half down last night and just dropped the other 10 minutes ago. 25” bar wouldn’t get thru it at the base
Cut and wedged it and we had a truck attached to it with a cable. Whew! Lots of counter weight but it’s down! FEBC7CBA-52A9-4D50-BC39-DECA62DE8D76.jpeg D8A1AB3F-4E22-4711-8CD5-9FB75575200D.jpeg 6AB1FCB2-043F-45ED-8E51-5E67CD1BC26D.jpeg 267B9920-B298-4574-9E7B-7E5E30D8EAE2.png
