Firearms
Only customers holding a Federal Firearms License (FFL) and federal, state, or local government agencies may ship firearms with FedEx. Customers holding an FFL must enter into an approved FedEx Firearms Shipping Compliance Agreement before shipping any firearms with FedEx. For more information, contact your FedEx account executive. On behalf of customers holding an FFL who enter into an approved FedEx Firearms Shipping Compliance Agreement and federal, state, or local government agencies, FedEx Express will transport and deliver firearms, antique firearms, and replica firearms, all as defined by the United States Gun Control Act of 1968, as well as muzzleloaders and black powder firearms (collectively “firearms”). Shipments containing firearms must be sent with the Adult Signature Required Delivery Signature Option. FedEx Express will transport ammunition when packed and labeled in compliance with local, state and federal law, and the Dangerous Goods section of this Service Guide. Ammunition is an explosive and must be shipped separately as dangerous goods. You agree not to ship loaded firearms or firearms with ammunition in the same package

The link is in the opening post and has been repeated more than once I this thread. As far as I can tell it is from FedEx's web site. This is also being discussed in a number of other forums and I have not seen anything that debunks this as BS.

I posted this here so that that those who need this service can check for themselves.

Did you notice that the thread title is a question?

Haven't shipped anything in the firearm category. Lately the FFL I use does the work for me.

I used FedEx for the rifles, then depending on who was behind the counter, would say I needed to be a FFL.

UPS is usually my go to for shipping ammunition. Wonder when they will change?

I think Big Brother is trying his best to squeeze out the rule followers. :(

Last time I tried to have a gun shipped through an FFL, they lost it in the back of the safe for a month and I had to threaten to report it stolen to get them to go "ohhhh here it is, we forgot!".

Must be nice to be a middleman.
