    Where's the bacon?
Salmon, preferably smoked. I like it either as "smoked salmon" or as "Nova Lox". :-9

I used to get the latter at our local Marsh, but they don't carry it anymore as the "nova trim" which was much less costly, but I could sit down and eat a pound of that stuff straight.

    Damn. Now I'm hungry.

    Blessings,
    B

Catfish, bluegill, trout, salmon, bass, walleye. I like them all and so does the wife. She also likes to catch and will help clean if we get a mess of them. :D Hope that won't throw the thread in a new category.:lmfao::popcorn2:

In my eyes ya can't beat crappie in zatarans & cornmeal. My wife took me to bonefish grill for my b-day all dressed fancy. I ordered shark, and asked the waitress to compare it to crappie or a nice bluegill... I wish I had a camera, her expression was priceless..lol

Zatarans is good. Very comparable to Marsh seafood breading. I like to change it up with Golden Dipt batter, which is very close to Long John Silvers recipe.

As one with 20+ #'s fillets in the freezer, I do prefer bluegill over crappie. Although, in the dead of winter, I'm quite happy to have whatever is left.
