I had same problems when i used to goto octapharma plasma in southbend. They blocked websites with "gun" in its title or descriptionLooks like that Walmart (maybe all) is blocking the site via a proxy server or similar. Where I used to work the proxy blocked similarly along with gambling and a few others. The ebay block didn't last too long, some execs got fired up about that one.![]()
I do think some places just buy a service and don't really take the time to look at what is blocked by default, etc.Yep. Some places filter their guest wifi. Its not you, its them.
Some block just porn, others whatever they personally disagree with.
I found the same issue at Hacienda in Evansville. Havent been back since. Love the food, but if they are anti gun enough to not even allow customers to view lawful websites they personally dislike, they dont deserve my money.
That is the best thing to do. Free wifi is not where you want to be using your smartphone.I generally try to stay off of every random wifi around unless I absolutely don't have any other choice.
