There are only a few places illegal by rule of Indiana law to carry. From memory: The Post Office, A lake under control of US Corp of Engineers, Schools, Churches (if being used as a school). I think that's it.

As above, if they don't want you to carry they can kick you out. But you won't be subject to arrest unless you refuse to comply and are tresspassed.

Keep it covered and keep your mouth shut and you should be ok.
A bank is not included in that list of illegal to carry? What about government buildings?

You should have used the old "Don't you know who I am?" ploy! :rockwoot:

Years ago, I had a problem with a metal detector at the Statehouse.
Never thought about the knife that's been in my pocket EVERY day.

I was mad has hell having to walk back to the parking garage.
Well, since you brought up the Statehouse. Here's my story. Some have heard this one before.

In looking for this one, I realized I got fired from my job about a month after I posted this. I'm sure this incident played into that decision.

Or where I work at Ft. Harrison... Or in the Federal Building... or in the State Capitol... or...
Thanks. I don't go to those places, so I never checked on them, but now that you mentioned them, I do recollect something about them.
I try to be conscious about the places I frequent, or might enter during normal business.

    and I also open carry.
But that doesn't prove or disprove law.
In IN, carrying in a bank, and bars is legal. However, don't go to the North and enter either while carrying. I believe churches are also off limits up there, as well as any business that derives 51% of their revenue from alcohol.

Not always. Ive seen private property signs asked about here in several threads that were either outright lies, a corporate sign on a franchise from another state, or simply incorrect.
Yes, you make valid points. It always is best to be familiar with the codes. I was making a point of deductive reasoning, looking at that particular door posted. If there are three signs telling you what you can't do and one says it's a law, then I'm going to deduce that the other two aren't laws. Simon says stop. Simon says go. Pat your belly...

The only thing I could find about hospital carry.
So as stated up thread they must have a staffed containment area in the hospital before it's illegal to actually carry your firearm.
However I'm not sure what is in IC 16 down lower that may prohibits carry.
